"I was working in an office building at a new job when a male employee, whom I had known from a previous job, had keys in his hand and began to lock the door I was attempting to go through.  I was then outside where it was raining, there was a lot of mud and I was on my bike.  I was making circles in the mud.  Then I see my brother and a little girl in a house.  The girl ran out of the house into the rain and I yelled for her to return to the house.  My brother than told me I had a call on the cell phone.  The call was from my daughter.  She told me she was not coming back home.  I begged her to come back home, she hung up on me and I turned around and saw a newspaper on the wall with a picture showing my daughter lying in a bed with tubes running from her body.  I woke up screaming for my daughter."

This dream has been haunting me....what does it mean?"

There is a lot of information here!  A male employee locking a door can indicate feeling left out at work or exempt from promotion?  Someone is preventing upward mobility or the opportunity to continue learning on the job.  Rain most frequently indicates unhappy emotions and riding your bicycle shows your attempt to try to stay "balanced."  Riding around in circles is pretty self-explanatory isn't it?
Sounds like you are currently frustrated in your job.

The next piece is concern for your daughter.  Questioning her life choices and her safety within them.  The "brother" in your dream may or may not be literal but there is an affiliation with this man that has connections to your daughter.  He seems to be warning you that your daughter may not be making wise choices.

All of the above refects concerns and worries you are experiencing.  Dreams provide an outlet for people to vent their fears but also to provide information.

Jean,

"I keep dreaming that I am beating up on someone who keeps hurting my 2 year old daughter.  I wake up obsessed with the well-being of my daughter!"

Sincerely,
Ruby

Ruby,

There is the possibility that the two-year old in your dream represents your child like self.  We all have an "inner sacred child" that is vulnerable and helpless.  Your dream may be indicating that there is something or someone in your environment that is causing you to question your emotional and/or physical safety.  Conversely, your dream can be an emotional release dream that many parents have.  The experience of parenthood and the deep love and protectiveness that results from parenting can be overwhelmingly deep in nature.

My Best,
Jean
